May 1, 2016

Post-doctoral Research at UMass Amherst, Dept of Environmental Conservation and Student Contractor for USGS, Conte Anadromous Fish Lab

Summary: This project is a web-based geospatial database and user interface for storing and managing continuous stream temperature datasets collected by multiple state and federal agencies, universities, and other organizations.

The database was built using PostgreSQL with the PostGIS extension to provide advanced geospatial query support. The user interface was built using AngularJS and d3.js for mapping and data visualization.

The stream temperature data is used to calibrate a regional stream temperature model as part of the Spatial Hydro-Ecological Decision System (SHEDS).
